Welcome to Osban's Wood Works. Let me take a couple of seconds and tell you a little about how I do business and make these quality products.

First, we do not make "Cookie Cutter" style display cases. You can pick the stain color and color of felt you want. I use a round over router bit but if you have a bit you would want me to use, e mail me and we can work it out.

We accept special orders, if you can draw it and tell me what size you want, I will build it for you, if I can not build it, I will be honest up front and let you know. But in my 25 years of wood working, there hasn't been much I couldn't make.

The prices you see includes everything to make the finished product except for the items that you want to display. Basically, all you have to do is purchase and place the items in the display case. If you have any questions on the best way to do that, just send me an e mail and I will be glad to answer them for you and give you some pointers to help you out.

I guarantee any display case you buy from me to be of the highest quality I can make.

Oak and Ash are wood of choice, both are hard wood and look almost identical in grain. But, if you see something that you want, but you want it in a different wood, call or e mail me and we can discuss it. The price might change a little but I want you to be proud of the display case you buy and if that means using different wood, I can do it. You also need to know if you request a different type of wood, it could delay the finished product because of availability. I just prefer those two because of the way they stain up, you can get it to match just about anything.

All items built receives multiple coats of hand rubbed stain. Between each coat of stain, the wood is sanded down with very fine sandpaper, this gives the stain and deep, rich and even color. After the third coat of stain, 3 coats of polyurethane is applied. Steel Wool is used to smooth the urethane out after each coat. This gives the product a smooth, high gloss shine and a durable, resilient finish.

I am always designing new cases and different ways for you to display how proud you are of you heirlooms. Make sure you keep checking back to see what new designs I have come up with this week.

I am just opening up this web page and know that the pictures I am using are not the best quality, I am good at wood working not photography; however, I will be taking updated and better pictures of my items as I finish them and will update my web page so you can see the detail of my products.

We look forward to talking to you about our quality products. If you have any questions about any products we make, or want to know if we have anything that is not displayed, just give me a call at 660-441-5431 or e mail:
